Travis Scott set for Coachella 2025
Travis Scott has been announced as a headliner for next year’s Coachella festival. According to a new report, the Houston rapper will appear on the 2025 line-up alongside Lady Gaga and Green Day.
TMZ revealed the news on November 20th, as yet there is still no official announcement from Coachella, but the ‘FE!N’ artist is set to headline the festival on the Saturday night. The news comes just one day after Post Malone leaked that he would be performing across both weekends of the festival by confirming the dates of his The Big Ass Stadium Tour with Jelly Roll.
Travis Scott recently toured his Utopia album with his Circus Maximus Tour, which included shows in North America, South America, Europe, Australia and Oceania.
La Flame last played Coachella in 2017 off the back of his Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight album, performing hits such as ‘Goosebumps’, ‘Pick Up the Phone and ‘Beibs in the Trap’. He was set to perform as a headliner in 2020, but the festival ended up being cancelled due to the pandemic.
Then, in 2022, Travis Scott was reportedly dropped from the Coachella lineup following the crowd crush at his Astroworld festival that resulted in the death of ten people.
Despite being removed, he apparently put on his own show at a Coachella after-party, playing a short DJ set in the nearby town of La Quinta in the early hours of the morning. Sources said “people were super excited” and that “everyone was dancing and singing along.”
Outside of Travis Scott and Post Malone, Hits Daily Double previously reported that Fred again.. was a “lock” for the festival, while Bloomberg claimed that Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna both turned down offers to headline. However, the new TMZ report alleges that Green Day and Lady Gaga are the other two headliners for the Californian bash.
Coachella 2025, located at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, will take place on the weekends of April 11th and April 18th next year. The festival was headlined by Tyler, The Creator, Doja Cat and Lana Del Rey in 2024, with the likes of Lil Uzi Vert, Ice Spice, Lil Yachty, Skepta, Tinashe and Coi Leray also among the many big names appearing on the line-up.
