Tory Lanez put under house arrest in relation to Megan Thee Stallion shooting

The debacle surrounding Tory Lanez only grows more ridiculous as the rapper has now been put under house arrest in relation to the case regarding the alleged shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.

TMZ and CBS News are reporting that Lanez has been put under house arrest after a ruling from a Los Angeles judge. The rapper and singer is currently facing charges in relation to assault and weapons possession after allegedly shooting female rapper Megan Thee Stallion back in 2020.

Lanez will be put under house arrest until the morning of Monday, November 28th, when the trial regarding the case begins. The judge was said to have ordered the house arrest following Lanez violating the conditions of his bail after allegedly assaulting August Aslina in Chicago in September. However, the rapper is not facing any charges in the state of Illinois.

Lanez has consistently pushed the judges of the Los Angeles court to increase his bail, including with a performance at the 2021 Rolling Loud Festival, an event at which Stallion performed too and then again for talking about the rapper on social media.

In an interview with CBS’ Gayle King, Megan explained the incident began with “an argument because I was ready to go and everybody else wasn’t ready to go”. She added: “But that’s normal friend stuff. We fuss about silly stuff all the time.”

The rapper continued: “I never put my hands on anybody. I never raised my voice too loud. This was one of them times where it was like, it shouldn’t have got this crazy. So I get out of the car, and everything happens so fast. All I hear is this man screaming, and he said, ‘Dance bitch’ and he started shooting. I was just like, ‘Oh my god’. He shot a couple of times, and I was so scared.”

She was then asked where the shooter was firing at her from, and Megan replied: “He was standing up over the window shooting. I didn’t even wanna move. I didn’t wanna move too quick cos I’m like, ‘Oh my god, if I take the wrong step, I don’t know if he’s gonna shoot something that’s like important, I don’t know if he’s gonna shoot me and kill me’.”

The rapper then admitted: “I was really scared cos I had never been shot at before.”
