Tory Lanez has broken the gagging order concerning the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.
Last year, Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, Los Angeles Country district confirmed he was charged with one felony count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a concealed, loaded, and unregistered firearm in a vehicle.
The incident took place on July 12th, 2020. It is claimed that Lanez allegedly shot Megan multiple times in the foot after an argument broke out as they drove off from a pool party in the Hollywood Hills.
In January, Lanez sent in a request to publically speak out about the case and tell his version of events. However, it was ruled that the rapper was prohibited from mentioning the incident until the issue was over. Now, he’s taken to Twitter to break that court ruling.
He initially ranted: “When did rap get so politically correct that u can’t speak your mind and have an opinion …. why the fuck was rap started ?… for us to speak our mind …. rappers will not always be right, and u don’t have to agree. But they have a right to speak their mind.”
In response, a follower wrote: “Since when can rappers shoot girls in the feet?”, and Lanez barked back, “Since when have u had ACTUAL evidence that I did that ???” he refutes. “I’ll wait.”
The legal dispute between the two rappers is still rumbling on, and Hip Hop Hero will have updates when this situation develops.
