Tom Hardy announces rap album as Frankie Pulitzer
Tom Hardy has announced that he’ll be releasing a hip-hop album as Frankie Pulitzer.
The actor, known for his roles in Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, and Dunkirk, is stepping away from acting for a moment to drop a rap project later this year.
Hardy, under the Frankie Pulitzer stage name, has teamed up with Czarface, consisting of Wu-Tang Clan’s Inspectah Deck, 7L and Esoteric, for an album titled Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer.
Set for release on August 28th, Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer is made up of 15 tracks and comes with features from Busta Rhymes, Method Man, El-P, and Kendra Morris.
To coincide with the release, they’ve unveiled the first single, ‘Brothers Grimm’, which appears as the first song on the tracklist.
Hardy is no stranger to collaborating with Czarface as Pulitzer, having provided a verse on ‘Frenzy in a Far Off World’ on 2013’s Czartificial Intelligence album.
The project will be a dream come true for Hardy, having previously said, “I would have loved to have been a member of the Wu-Tang Clan. A secret member.”
The 48-year-old has been recording rap music since he was a teenager, having previously gone by the name Tommy No 1. His mixtape, Falling On Your Arse in 1999, a collaboration with DJ Eddie Too Tall, is available to listen to online.
