The weird vegetable Cardi B uses to wash her hair

Bronx rapper Cardi B is undoubtedly the hot new girl on the block in female rap. When the ‘WAP’ emcee (real name Belcalis Almanzar) broke onto the scene in 2017 with her debut single ‘Bodak Yellow’, she certainly shook things up.

Cardi B has a massive fan base and a significant social media presence. Before becoming a rapper, Almanzar was an Instagram influencer sharing her stories, funny anecdotes and hilarious videos. However, in 2022, the artist took to Twitter to share some of her beauty regimes, including her hair care routine.

The Grammy-award-winning musician unveiled that she had been trying to accelerate her hair growth for years but stated that none of the traditional methods worked for her. However, she disclosed that she had recently stumbled across a technique that produced excellent results.

However, the ingredients involved in her conditioning process were strange, to say the least, as one of them was a vegetable. Moreover, it was a vegetable that most consider to have a rotten odour.

Taking to Twitter, Almanzar unveiled the magic ingredients she found were onions. Sending out a tweet, Cardi wrote, “My last two washes, I been boiling onions and using the water to wash my hair,. I used to do this six years ago when I started my healthy hair growth journey. I stopped ’cause I got really lazy.”

She assured fans that it wouldn’t make a smell, posting, “It’s odourless, and I notice that it’s been giving a shine to my hair.” However, this bizarre method isn’t the first Almanzar had shared with followers.

In early 2022, the ‘I Like It’ singer disclosed that she and her daughter had a special recipe for their curls. The primary ingredient was avocado, which is not too uncommon in the world of wellness. However, Almanzar then told fans to add argan oil, mayonnaise, black castor oil, olive oil, eggs, and honey.

After using her technique, she posted a picture on Instagram with the caption, “The end results of all that s*** I put on my hair earlier. Treat your hair ladies … and don’t let a n*gga tell you sh*t bout wearing wigs. It helps with hair growth A LOT!” You can see the emcee’s original Tweet below.
