It’s not often you get a multi-millionaire star like Drake messaging you for a date. However, in 2018, German model and former Victoria’s Secret Angel Heidi Klum received an unexpected message from the Canadian emcee suggesting they spend time together. However, the model quickly rejected Drake.
In early 2018, the model appeared on the Ellen Show, during which she played the game ‘Who Would You Rather?’ to see her taste in men. Several famous faces popped up, from Jake Gyllenhaal to Harry Styles. However, Klum stuck with Drake for almost the entirety of the game as her man of choice.
Unfortunately, Drake was made aware of this seemingly innocent celebrity crush and began contacting people to reach the Vogue model. The rapper (real name Aubrey Graham) undoubtedly assumed Klum would jump at the opportunity to meet and be with him. However, things went a little differently than he had planned.
In the period between when the show was recorded and when it aired, the highly sought-after model met and got engaged to the German guitarist Tom Kaulitz. However, oblivious to this, Drake secured Klum’s number and sent her a somewhat romantic text.
However, in a second appearance on the show a year later, Klum unveiled that Drake had texted her, disclosing, “Someone who I know knows him, and he asked to have my number, and then he texted me. I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is so weird!’ but then I never texted him back!”
The Cologne native revealed that she did eventually reach out to Drake to offer an apology. However, he only responded with a raised eyebrow emoji, most likely to question why she would do such a thing.
Fortunately, Drake now can’t sit on that high horse as in 2020, the ‘God’s Plan’ rapper stood up comedian Tiffany Haddish for their date. You can watch Heidi Klum explain the situation to Ellen DeGeneres in the video below.
