The rapper who wanted to "F*ck Lil Wayne up!"

Lil Wayne is one of the most skilled lyricists in hip-hop, and many consider him to be the best rapper of all time. The Louisiana native (real name Dwayne Carter) hasn’t been embroiled in many beefs during his career. However, there was one emcee who once revealed he wanted to “F*ck Lil Wayne Up.”

During the 2000s, Lil Wayne got into a feud with New York City musician and member of The Diplomats, Jim Jones, but during this period, the Harlem veteran vet wasn’t too pleased with the Cash Money Records legend.

In an appearance on The Joe Budden Podcast, Jones admitted he wanted to get into a brawl with Carter after he heard the hit Fat Joe song ‘Make It Rain’ featuring Lil Wayne, which, according to him, sounded remarkably similar to his song ‘Weather Man’.

Addressing Budden, Jones stated, “I wanted to fuck Weezy up over that record, man. But Weezy’s my brother; you know I love him to death. But Weezy did some wacky shit when it came to that record. Remember he had a record with Fat Joe called ‘Make It Rain On ‘Em’? That was our hook. Now go listen to that record, and then pull up ‘Weather Man.'”

Jim Jones admitted that he was very close to getting physical with Wayne but unveiled that his Dipset crewmate Juelz Santana made him reassess his stance concerning Carter.

Elaborating on the situation, Jones said, “I was ready to take it to the next level and Juelz really — I’ll never forget it. It was the MTV Awards show. We was in the China Club when I seen him. And the homies just finished throwing somebody off the balcony in that bitch. I’ll never forget that day. Right in front of Weezy.”

The Majik-produced single ‘Weather Man’ single featuring Lil Wayne and Stack Bundles was released in 2006 and appeared on Jones’ Hustler’s P.O.M.E. (Product of My Environment) project. The album debuted at number six on the Billboard 200.
