The iconic rock band Eazy-E decided to collaborated with: “There is unreleased music”

The legendary Compton emcee Eazy-E shook up and shaped hip-hop when he decided to follow in the footsteps of Ice-T and form his own West Coast gangsta rap collective, NWA with powerhouses such as Ice Cube and Dr Dre at his side, the group quickly became a phenomenon and were selling out shows across the world.

From ‘F*ck Tha Police’ to ‘Straight Outta Compton,’ Eazy-E was part of a rebellious wave that put California on the rap music map. However, before he died in 1995, the emcee collaborated with some other rebellious musicians, but they weren’t part of hip-hop.

Before his death, while he was still the head of Ruthless Records and working with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Eazy-E recorded several songs with the iconic rock band Guns N’ Roses, which are still believed to exist.

During an interview, one of Eazy E’s oldest friends, Arnold “Bigg A” White, revealed that there are multiple tracks on a computer somewhere, but nobody knows where they are. While at a listening party celebrating the release of Lil Eazy-E and Daz Dillinger’s 2021 album, The Legacy. Bigg A explained the story of Eazy-E’s rock songs.

Beginning with their location, Bigg A told Rock The Bells, “There is unreleased music still out there. We know for a fact that he had two, three, or four reels in his car when he went to the hospital. Those reels came up missing.”

Strangely, White disclosed that at some point around the turn of the millennium, several master recordings of the Guns N’ Roses collaborations were found on a disc in Canada. However, nobody currently knows where those recordings are stored. Speaking about that strange occurrence, Bigg A recalled,  “He had songs with Slash from Guns n’ Roses — he had songs with Guns n’ Roses on those reels. Those reels have been found ’cause they wound up in Canada. That’s a whole other story, but what happened to them [since], I don’t know.”

Although many would think it simple to find these old records, Bigg A detailed that because Eazy-E was in the studio with so many different people all the time, they could be anywhere. Bigg A admitted he was not confident that the Eazy-E’s estate had the reels and insisted that they could be with DJ Yella or even Dr Dre.

Unveiling that DJ Yella has some vocals, White continued, “I don’t know if the estate got them, but there is unreleased music, and Yella has some, I know for a fact that there are some unreleased acapella vocals, that he was working on some records with a couple of producers I worked with and last I heard was that they were up in Dre’s studio.”

If the Eazy-E’s tracks with Guns N’ Roses were to appear, it would be a big deal for fans of old-school hip-hop. The N.W.A. and Ruthless Records founder appeared on all of NWA’s albums and was the figure who came up with the renowned song-turned-film ‘Boyz-N-The Hood’. Although the late rapper can no longer release music, his son is an emcee and last year put out a joint album with Daz Dillinger which included appearances from Kid Capri, Kokane, RBX, Eazy’s E’s grandson Baby Eazy-E, and more.
