The Game ranks his top 100 Los Angeles rappers of all time

Last week, Complex shared a list of their top 50 Los Angeles rappers. However, The Game, born and bred in the city, strongly disagreed with the list, including his position.

The publication’s top ten ranked Kendrick Lamar at number one, with Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Dr Dre, and Tyler, The Creator rounding out the top five. They also put The Game at number 11.

The Compton rapper was immediately enraged, commenting on Instagram, “Game at 11 is nasty work… I’ll bust that whole list ass!!!! All the motivation I needed to finish The Documentary 3!! Y’all got Game f#%ked up!!”

Game went a step further by sharing his own list, except he extended it from 50 to 100 rappers. He put Tupac Shakur at number one, with Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Kendrick Lamar, and himself just behind him.

Speaking more about Complex‘s list, he wrote on social media, “I don’t know who gave final approval but I get it… ‘playas f%?k up too’ !!! I was born & raised in this city & I’ve never moved from it, left it for more then 2 months or abandoned it to call anywhere else home.

“45 years the music created here has been the soundtrack to my life & here I stand today as one of thee koldest rappers in the history of the city, state & coast I’ve given my blood sweat & tears to. Everybody on this list know what it is with me out here & those not on the list understand that the names above from top to bottom best represent this city & its culture.”

He added, “The few rappers on the list that weren’t specifically born here are on the list because of their dedication & choice to ride with the city once they got here. It’s non debatable !!! Argue all you want to but this is how I feel… if I’m wrong, challenge my pen & let me remind you of what & who I am.”
