The five rappers 50 Cent absolutely hates
50 Cent has had a lot of feuds, from Ja Rule to Fat Joe and even heavyweight champion Floyd Mayweather, the ‘In Da Club’ lyricist loves to taunt his opponents. However, he has made his fair share of enemies over the years.
50 Cent has been able to survive several shootings, and in 2000, the Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ emcee got shot nine times. However, to the shock of many, he managed to endure all of this and become one of the wealthiest rappers of all time.
When he rose to fame, Fifty was aggressive. With songs such as ‘How To Rob’ and ‘Ghetto Qu’ran’, he brought an extraordinarily angry and brash energy to the scene that had been missing since the demise of 2Pac. However, akin to the All Eyez On Me legend, he quickly landed himself in hot water.
Although he has since mended many of the bridges he burned in the 2000s, during his prime, there were specific artists that he absolutely hated. Some had been his friends, while others were total strangers to him.
Five rappers 50 Cent absolutely hates:
5. Fat Joe
Fat Joe and 50 Cent were at odds for the entirety of the 2000s, and it is only recently that the two have finally managed to put their issues aside. The origins can be traced back to the instrumental for Fifty’s 2005 single ‘Candy Shop’ after Joe took credit by declaring that he had helped Scott Storch make a hit, claiming it as his own.
Following this ludicrous claim, 50 released a diss record towards Fat Joe entitled ‘Piggy Bank.’ However, it wasn’t just Cartagena’s lies that got Jackson riled up; it was also the fact that Joe had made a song with Ja Rule, his god-sworn enemy.
4. Ja Rule
G-Unit, headed by 50 Cent, and Murder Inc pioneered by Ja Ruled were two Queens-based crews that co-existed for short while. However, what began as a misunderstanding between two dominant rappers bubbled over and became a war of crews.
The two developed a mutual hatred for each other due to their varying recollections of the night Atkins was almost killed in Queens. According to publications that reported on the incident at the time, in 1999, Atkins was robbed at gunpoint in the New York borough. Quick to hurl accusations, the musicians insisted the robbery was undertaken by an affiliate of 50 Cent.
3. Cam’Ron
50 Cent had beef with a lot of his New York peers, including Dipset member Cam’Ron. Although the beef was short, Cam didn’t see it as a serious feud telling VIBE magazine, “When me and 50 Cent was going on, that shit was fun.”
However, currently, the two are on good terms, with Cam’Ron declaring, “Shout out to my ni**a 50, we good now, too. But when 50 dissed me, it started with an argument on the phone. 50 had said Koch [Entertainment] is the graveyard for a lot of rappers. At the time, Jim Jones had just went to Koch… and Jim Jones is Dipset.”
2. The Game
The Game and 50 Cent have had beef since the former split from G-Unit. The Compton native was the only West Coast rapper in Fifty’s crew and, in 2022, The Game dropped a diss track aimed at 50 Cent’s closest friend, Eminem, entitled ‘The Black Slim Shady’ showing that he is still not over 50 Cent’s continued prosperity.
In 2006, following a diss by the Game aimed at G-Unit on his DVD, 50 Cent went all out and even kick the West Coast emcee off his label.
1. Rick Ross
50 Cent’s beef with Rick Ross has been a long and ongoing one. According tovarious publications, the two rappers had an unsavoury interaction at a BET event in the late 2000s that then escalated online. In 2009, during Maybach Music Group’s heyday, Rick Ross decided to take aim at Jackson on the track, ‘Mafia Music.’
Following that, 50 Cent released his diss track ‘Officer Ricky (Go Head, Try Me).’ The title, referring to Ross as “Officer”, highlighted the musician’s former position with the South Miami Police Department. From there, their tit-for-tat spiralled.
