The essential gangster skill that Snoop Dogg had to teach his son
Snoop Dogg has been an ambassador of West Coast hip-hop for decades, and from the moment he appeared on The Chronic as Dr. Dre’s prodigy, he has been associated with weed smoking. Since the 1990s, the Doggystyle creator has built an entire brand and empire around his love of weed, and he has even passed down some knowledge to his kids.
With songs such as ‘Hennesey n Buddah’ and ‘Kush Ups,’ the Long Beach lyricist has been synonymous with cannabis for the entirety of his career, and he is not afraid of expressing his love. Furthermore, it has been quite entertaining for fans who, over the years, have discovered weed-related stories about the rapper, such as the fact that the ‘Beautiful’ artist sold weed to Cameron Diaz during their days as students at Long Beach Polytechnic High School.
During the 2010s, following the widespread legalisation of weed in the US, Snoop developed his own strain of cannabis named ‘Snoop Dogg Master Kush’, invested in the California cannabis market and partnered with the company Seedo to create a mini weed-growing machine. As such, it is safe to say that the emcee made a lot of money from his love.
However, with all the weed knowledge he has acquired over the years, it would be selfish for the lyricist to keep it all to himself. That said, the ‘Drop It Like It’s Ht’ legend has revealed that his oldest son, Corde Broadus, has inherited his love for weed.
Under the moniker Spanky Danky, ‘In Dank We Trust,’ ‘Rollin, Rollin, Rollin … Stoned,’ ‘California Gs,’ and ‘Commemoration of Vaporization,’ to name a few. However, Snoop has unveiled that he had to teach his son how to roll weed the right way.
When asked by The Hollywood Reporter if it is responsible for him to allow his children to smoke weed, Snoop bluntly responded, “My kids can do whatever the hell they want. For me, to say otherwise would be hypocritical. A lot of motherf*ckers don’t have a relationship with their kids, and that’s when they get on drugs and have suicidal thoughts and drive drunk.”
Concerning rolling, he explained, “I’m his father, so I wanna show him the proper way because he looks up to me. What better way to get it than from the master?” Although Snoop knows how to roll a blunt, he has confirmed that he has a professional blunt roller to do the job for him as he needs such a vast amount of blunts that it would be impossible for him to do it himself.
Although many see it as irresponsible for Snoop to teach his 18-year-old son how to roll a blunt, the emcee himself was taught at a similar age by his late friend Tupac.
