The disgraced musician Boosie thinks would have had a great Super Bowl show

‘Wipe Me Down’ rapper Boosie Badazz is known for sharing his opinions on various issues. The Louisiana artist is outspoken and unfiltered. That said, he often takes to social media to share his hot takes on current issues and people.

This year saw Jay-Z approach Usher to let him know he had the herculean task of entertaining the nation during the most viewed live performance in America, the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show and Usher’s recent show prompted Boosie (real name Torrence Hatch) to tweet about who he believed would have put on an extraordinary halftime concert.

Taking to Twitter soon after Usher’s performance on February 11th, the 41-year-old artist shared his dream set list for a hypothetical show by the now-disgraced singer R. Kelly, who Boosie has praised multiple times since his imprisonment.

Taking to Twitter/X, Hatch wrote, “IF R. KELLY WOULDNT HAVE GOT N TROUBLE HIS SONGS WOULD BE AMAZING AT A SUPERBOWL HALFTIME SHOW!!” The tweet sparked a lot of controversy.

The ‘Set It Off’ rhymer added, “I CAN HEAR THAT VOICE NOW ‘I BELIEVE I CAN FLY,’ ‘STEP N THE NAME OF LOVE,’ ‘I WISH I WISH I WISH,’ ‘THE WORLDS GREATEST,’ ‘FIESTA FIESTA,’ ‘WHEN A WOMAN LOVES’ then ‘SAME GIRL’ N BRING USHER out OMG!! #letskeepitreal”

Following the tweet, many Boosie fans responded to the post, showing their disgust at the idea of R. Kelly performing at the Super Bowl. One user wrote, “Why are you thinking about R. Kelly right now?” while another added, “Boosie why are u vouching for this man?”

In 2022, R. Kelly (real name Robert Kelly) was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison after getting convicted of sex trafficking and racketeering. Even following the verdict, Boosie unveiled that Kelly’s crimes didn’t warrant 30 years behind bars.

Taking to Twitter/X after the verdict, Bossie wrote, “People getting 15/20 years for murder n he get 30!!” He then added, “Yes, he was wrong af for manipulating young girls n sexing them, but he didn’t kill anyone, aggravated rape anyone and no blame on the parents who knew everything. Resentence this man!! College professors get probation for this shit!”

The Super Bowl halftime show is one of the most prestigious performances in the music industry and requires a respectable, hit-making star. You can see Boosie Badazz’s tweets below.
