Tekashi 6ix9ine has been rushed to hospital after being beaten by a group of men in a South Florida gym. Talking to TMZ, 6ix9ine’s attorney, Lance Lazzaro, said that the rapper was inside the LA Fitness sauna on Tuesday when he was attacked by several men without warning.
According to Lazzaro, 6ix9ine tried to fight off the attackers but was severely beaten. The assailants then fled. The rapper did not have security with him at the time of the attack.
Gym staff subsequently notified the manager and police and EMS were called to the scene. 6ix9ine was then rushed to the hospital, having sustained numerous injuries. In photos taken at the hospital, we can see that Takesh sustained serious damage to the face and jaw. He also suffered injuries to the ribs and back
Lazzaro has said that the next step will be to ensure 6ix9ine gets more protection. The rapper was granted early release from prison after cooperating with authorities, landing several of his former gangmates in jail. It’s still unclear if the attack was motivated by the rapper’s cooperation with the police.
Takeshi was previously involved in a fight at a Las Vegas UFC event.
