T.I. reveals Dr Dre will appear on his new album

T.I. has revealed that Dr Dre will be featured on his upcoming album.

The Atlanta rapper is currently in promo mode for his new project, Kill the King, which is set to be his final album.

Although a release date is still unknown, Tip has confirmed that the legendary Dr Dre has produced a song for the project.

“Dr Dre blessed me with a record,” he told AllHipHop. “It happens to have Anderson Paak on it, and a young lady by the name of Stallone. It’s a dope record. It’s called ‘Where I’m From.’ Dope record.”

Explaining further, T.I. said, “He sent it to me, and I went to the house, and I laid it. And then I laid another verse, and I went back. It’s always for the best outcome, for the betterment of the record. I’m always for someone who I know is dedicated to making the absolute best shit we can make.”

The pair have collaborated in the past, having several recording sessions for 2016’s The Dime Trap. They teamed up on ‘Dope’, which was released as a standalone single.

“Dre’s the homie, to be honest with you,” he said to Rolling Stone at the time. “I’ve never seen somebody so meticulous about music before. The only thing that I can say was a similar experience was when me and Eminem did those songs together.”

He continued, “The way Em is about a verse, that’s how Dre is about production. It’s a very tedious, meticulous, nerve-wracking process. But the outcome is immeasurable. You just can’t describe the difference in the magnitude of production that goes from what we’re used to doing and what he’s used to doing.”

As well as ‘Dope’, T.I. and Dre previously worked together on ‘Popped Off’ and ‘Back to Business’.
