Sydney rapper Ay Huncho’s family home struck with 21 bullets

Sydney rapper Ay Huncho was the target of a shooting that resulted in his family home being hit by 21 bullets. The incident took place on September 14th at around 1am.

The 28-year-old (real name Ali Younes) wasn’t in the property at the time of the drive-by shooting, which occurred on Harris Street in Merrylands.

According to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, three people were at home at the time, including two women aged 22 and 40, and a 15-year-old boy, who were left unharmed.

After the shots were fired, screeches could be heard from the getaway car. The black vehicle was spotted circling the area prior to the attack.

Speaking to reporters, Inspector Ricki Lindner said, “Detectives have spoken with the occupants and they are helping with our enquiries. It’s brazen, it’s dangerous behaviour, it’s putting the community at risk, it’s behaviour we won’t tolerate.”

A local man added, “What I heard was bangs outside, what I assumed was people banging at the door trying to wake me up.”

Ay Huncho, who has over 87,000 Instagram followers, took to Instagram on September 15th to share a shirtless photo of himself, writing in the caption, “Alhamdulilah.”

He was released on bail in August after being arrested on offences linked to the Alameddine crime family. The Alameddines operate an organised crime network in Western Sydney.

Lindner said that New South Wales police were investigating the shooting with Taskforce Falcon, a team focusing on recent public violence they believe stems from an internal feud inside the Alameddine network.

Huncho has over 125,000 monthly Spotify listeners. His biggest songs include ‘Designer Love‘ with over five million streams, and ‘Celine’, which boasts 3.4 million streams.
