Swizz Beatz drops all-star new EP: stream

Legendary hip-hop Swizz Beatz has unveiled his new EP, Hip Hop 50: Vol. 2, which features some of the biggest names in the game.

The news was announced by Beatz on social media, who captioned his Instagram post: “Updated track list!!!! Few more updates to come. Can’t wait for y’all to hear this EP 4-21!” On the release, he will bring together multiple generations of rappers with old-school figures such as Lil Wayne, Nas, and Jadakiss featuring alongside Lil Durk, Benny The Butcher, and Fivio Foreign.

His new EP is the latest release from the Mass Appeal’s Hip Hop 50: The Soundtrack campaign, which is a celebration of hip-hop turning 50. Swizz Beatz is the second artist to take part in the project after DJ Premier released Hip Hop 50: Vol 1 last year.

Last year, Swizz Beats and Timbaland filed to sue Triller for $28million after previously selling their web series, Verzuz, to the app.  The classic hip-hop duo claim that Triller has been negligent with due payments in 2022 and when they have made requests to the company, it has refused to respond, leaving them no other course of action available other than to pursue the matter legally.

The pair eventually settled out of court in September.
