Swizz Beatz answers Dr Dre’s request for Eminem ‘Verzuz’ opponent

Swizz Beatz has responded to Dr. Dre’s call asking for a ‘Verzuz’ opponent for Eminem.

Over the weekend, Dre decided to have some fun on social media by sharing a video of Shady rapping the final verse of ‘Godzilla’ and asking his fans, “Marshall Mathers vs Who???!!” Although he didn’t mention ‘Verzuz’ by name, it was clear what the former NWA man was alluding to.

Since the series was created by Timbaland and Swizz Beatz in the first lockdown, it has blown up to become an institution. KRS One and Big Daddy Kane recently headlined a ‘Verzuz’ event at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, which was also available to stream, and 2022 looks to be even brighter.

Swizz says he feels like Busta Rhymes is the perfect opponent, and he also previously said that he wanted to square off against Mathers. However, Eminem has yet to agree to participate, and it remains up in the air, but it’d be a huge coup.

Meanwhile, Kodak Black recently laid out his challenge on Twitter and told fans, “I’ll do a versus wit Jay Z. ‘IF’ he wins, he gets 15 % of my catalog! I win, he makes me Vice President of Roc Nation.”

The likelihood of ‘Hov’ accepting this wager is almost nil. Just last month, in a Twitter Space with Alicia Keys, Jay ruled out taking part and explained, “No one can stand on that stage with me. It’s not a chance in hell that anyone can stand on that stage with me.”

These comments got back to Future, who responded by saying, “I Promise You, ErrBody From Atlanta Feels Like Pluto Can Win A Versus Against Hov!”

Meanwhile, Rick Ross recently also revealed his intentions to battle Jay. “JAY-Z… Yeah! Why not?” the rapper said during an appearance on The Real. “To me, that’s what makes ‘Verzuz’ special because it brings out the best in both parties.”
