Swedish rapper fatally shot in front of tourists in Marbella

Hamko was shot and killed in Marbella last week. The Swedish rapper (real name Hamza Karimi) was murdered in front of tourists in the middle of the afternoon on October 3rd.

The incident took place at around 2:30pm in the Costa del Sol resort of Puerto Banus. The 25-year-old was rushed to the Costa del Sol Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds, where he was pronounced dead.

According to Sunday World, Spanish police arrested a 38-year-old man who is believed to be a Swedish citizen of Afghan origin.

In a statement, police said, “The man arrested in Marbella on suspicion of the Puerto Banus homicide is not due to be taken to court in the next few hours. In all probability, it will be tomorrow Monday morning.”

Video footage surfaced of Hamko smoking a cigarette and talking on his phone when the shooter exited a black van and approached him, firing bullets from close range after drawing a gun from behind his back.

A witness said, “I was going to have a coffee and always pass the place where the shooting happened on that pavement. It’s a miracle I didn’t get shot. It was only because I was walking faster than normal.”

They continued, “People began to run when they heard the shots ring out. It sounded like they came from a very powerful weapon. Six or seven shots were fired.”

Hamko is a former childhood friend of popular Swedish rapper Einar, who was killed in Stockholm in 2021 before testifying in court over a gunpoint kidnapping.

Einar’s biggest songs, ‘Gamora‘, ‘Första Klass’, and ‘Din låt’, each have over 86 million, 73 million, and 68 million streams on Spotify.
