Snoop Dogg says Dr. Dre is compiling songs for the next ‘Grand Theft Auto’ game

Snoop Dogg has claimed that Dr. Dre is working on songs for the next Grand Theft Auto video game.

The highly acclaimed franchise hasn’t released a new edition since 2013. However, they have remastered old versions on plentiful occasions since then. It’s unknown what exactly Dre is working on, which is connected with GTA. Snoop made the revelation during an appearance on the Rolling Stone Now podcast.

“He’s making great fucking music,” he revealed. “And some of his music is connected to the GTA game that’s coming out. So I think that will be the way that his music will be released, through the GTA video game,” Snoop told the podcast.

This new collaboration wouldn’t be the first time that Dre has linked up with the video game, which famously features an array of in-game radio stations. His tracks, ‘Fuck Wit Dre Drey’ and ‘Deep Cover’ are in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, while ‘Still D.R.E.’ and ‘The Next Episode’ appear in Grand Theft Auto V. Interestingly, all four efforts also feature Snoop Dogg.

Last week it was revealed that Dre had been served his divorce papers while attending his grandmother’s funeral. The N.W.A. mogul was likely not best pleased to receive the papers in such a circumstance after the rapper’s estranged wife, Nicole Young’s lawyers, saw the opportunity to serve their target. Dre’s grandmother is widely known as the artist’s closest family member.

The documents at hand relate to Young’s legal fees and will have been unwelcome at the event. Despite their conflicting accounts, both Dre (real name Andre Young) and Nicole Young’s representatives confirmed the story to TMZ.
