Snoop Dogg is working on new music with Dr. Dre

Snoop Dogg has announced that he is currently working on some new music with the legendary Dr. Dre. It will be the first time in 30 years that the two have worked together. The duo had reunited during the Super Bowl halftime show earlier this year, which also featured Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige.

Snoop had revealed the collaboration with Dr. Dre when he was on the red carpet in Los Angeles during the premiere of his latest film, Day Shift.

Snoop told ET Online of the new collab: “We’re cooking up a little something. I don’t wanna talk about it too much, but we’re back together again. It’s been 30 years since we worked on a record, and we’re doing something, we’re working on something.”

Snoop had first collaborated with Dr. Dre on Dre’s first solo single release, ‘Deep Cover’ and teamed up again with the heroic producer on the 1992 album The Chronic and 1999’s full-length 2001. Dre recently revealed that he had been working on new material for the last two years, with as much as twelve albums’ worth of music being completed.

Snoop also opened up on his collaboration with Benny Blanco and BTS on ‘Bad Decisions’. He said, “Hey, I just try to stay active. The youngsters, they reach out, they call me. I’m all about music. One thing about me, I don’t like being boxed in. I like being a part of every genre of music so when they reach out and call, I’ll usually say yeah.”

The track features vocals from Snoop, as well as Jungkook, Jimin, V and Jin from BTS. It dropped last week with a video that sees Benny Blanco preparing himself for a BTS concert by baking the band a cake. However, he arrives at the venue a day early.
