Snoop Dogg likens him and Eminem to hip-hop's Captain American and Thor

Following their triumphant display at the Super Bowl, Snoop Dogg has likened him and Eminem to being the hip-hop equivalent to Captain America and Thor.

Snoop started the 15-minute performance alongside Dre with renditions of ‘The Next Episode’ and ‘California Love’. A surprise appearance from 50 Cent followed as he rolled back the years with a thrilling performance of ‘In Da Club’.

The crowd at the So-Fi Stadium in Inglewood were then greeted to a delightful showing from Mary J. Blige before Kendrick Lamar wowed the audience with ‘M.a.a.D. City’ and ‘Alright’.

Eminem then finally got involved along with Anderson .Paak and The Free Nationals delivered a powerful rendition of ‘Lose Yourself’ before they closed on ‘Still D.R.E’.

The showing has quite rightly won plaudits, and Snoop is deservedly basking in his own glory. On Instagram, he shared a photoshopped video of the five performers as the Avengers with the caption: “Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick, Lamar, Mary J, Blige and 50 Cent asserted the power of hip-hop’s oldies generation on pop music’s most-watched stage.”

After their falling-out in 2020 when Snoop criticised Eminem, which led to Shady responding in one of his songs, it warms the heart to see that hip-hop’s Captain America and Thor have successfully patched things up.
