Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs denies he was caught drinking alcohol in prison
It was recently reported that Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs was caught drinking alcohol behind bars. However, the rapper has denied the claims.
An article alleged that Combs had acquired some homemade alcohol, made up of Fanta, sugar and apples, which inmates leave for two weeks to ferment into an alcoholic substance.
According to TMZ, he was caught by prison officers, and they planned to move him to a new unit. Shortly after, they allegedly reversed the decision and kept him in the same unit.
Following the report, Combs has completely denied the claims. His team took to X (formerly Twitter) to address the allegations.
“The rumours claiming Mr Combs was caught with alcohol are completely false,” the post read. “His only focus is becoming the best version of himself and returning to family.”
A spokesperson also shared a statement with People, claiming he’s focused on being a better person following his move to FCI Fort Dix from the Metropolitan Detention Center.
“There have been several false and reckless reports circulating about Mr Combs,” they said. “He has not violated any prison rules. His sobriety and self-discipline are priorities, and he is taking them seriously.”
The statement continued, “This is only his first week at FCI Fort Dix, and unfortunately, rumours will surface throughout his time there. We ask the public and the press to give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth, and the grace to move forward in peace.”
Combs previously stated he was sober for the first time in 25 years before being sentenced to 50 months in prison on prostitution charges.
