Sacramento rapper Stunna Girl arrested in North Carolina

Sacramento rapper Stunna Girl has been arrested.

The 27-year-old, best known for her 2019 hit ‘Runway’, was taken into custody on May 28th for failure to appear in court over a nine-year case.

According to TMZ, Stunna was busted after a traffic stop conducted by the Mooresville Police Department. She was stopped in a black-and-white Mercedes for unclear reasons.

She was booked into the Iredell County Detention Center for failure to appear in court over a charge from nearly a decade ago.

The rapper was released hours later on a $3,500 bond, and took to social media to address her mugshot that surfaced online. “This would eat as a album cover,” she wrote.

Stunna was charged with trespassing and resisting a public officer following a 2017 arrest and has failed to appear in court for the case at least two times. A new court date is scheduled for July 28th.

Despite her arrest, Stunna performed at the Crybaby nightclub in Oakland, California, on May 30th.

Stunna has 1.9 million Instagram followers and 919,000 monthly Spotify listeners. Her biggest songs include ‘Like Dat’, ‘Pretty Privilege’, ‘Rotation’, and ‘Real Rap’.

In July 2024, Stunna revealed she was shot in the chest, sharing a video of the entrance and exit wounds of the bullet that narrowly missed her rib cage and vital organs. In a clip, she said, “It hit above my breast and went out my underpit.”

During a New York show earlier that year, a male audience member slapped her buttocks. A riot broke out as Stunna’s husband violently confronted the man responsible. In an Instagram Live, she suggested that the perpetrator had exposed himself online.

“I’m not a snitch, so in reality, I really could have him in jail right now for sexual assault, but I ain’t even put bruh in jail,” she said. “Not only that – he went on the internet, he DM’d me like 50 times popping it like, ‘Yes bitch, I did this, I did that.’”
