Rick Ross denies faking Drake beef: “Don’t get it fucked up”
Rick Ross has addressed claims that he faked his beef with Drake.
Rozay used to have a thriving relationship with Drizzy, releasing over a dozen songs together that include ‘Aston Martin Music’, ‘Money in the Grave’, and ‘Lord Knows’.
The Miami rapper released his new album, Set in Stone, on July 17th. To promote the project, he stopped by The Joe Budden Podcast.
During his appearance, he denied that his feud with Drake is manufactured for attention.
“No, no, don’t get it fucked up,” he said. “Nothing about that was fake. If a n*gga fuck with you, a n*gga fuck with you. If it’s something that go left, that’s when it go left. It can go left right now on this podcast. It wasn’t fake. Before that, n*ggas showing love.”
He continued, “Some things are not to be looking for the connection. That’s like me looking for the connection between the last weird n*ggas you used to do the podcast with. You loved them n*ggas, didn’t you? That’s business. You moved on. That’s what you got to do as a boss. You wish all them n*ggas the best if it ain’t no real pressure. Continue to do you, keep winning. But once it go left, it go left.”
Ross has been taking shots at Drake all year in the lead-up to his new album being released.
Speaking to Hot 97, he said, “People would love for me to say, ‘I hate this n*gga forever.’ Nah, homie, it ain’t that. When somebody step out of line and you gotta chastise them or give them a spanking, that’s what you do. But is it one of those things where there’s a conspiracy? Hell no. Don’t nobody fear Drake’s album release. Nobody.”
In another interview, he described Drake’s Iceman album as “horrendous” after listening to some of the songs.
“My homies actually sat there – they lost an hour of their life for this shit,” he said. “When you been waiting, after you see people put ice blocks in the middle of places, and promoted and marketed, and the world knew what day it was coming out. And then shit came out, and really, you know, folded.”
