Rapper shot in Baton Rouge five weeks after Houston shooting

Rapper NBA Ben10 was shot in Baton Rouge this week.

The 26-year-old NBA YoungBoy affiliate (real name Ben Anthony Fields) was reportedly one of three people injured in a shooting on May 12th.

According to WBRZ, the incident took place on Wells Street, with the three victims taken to the hospital in a private vehicle.

The incident comes just five weeks after Ben10 was involved in a shooting in Houston that left him in critical condition.

A fight allegedly took place at the restaurant Confessions on April 8th, leading to two people suffering serious injuries.

Speaking to reporters after the shooting, Lieutenant R Wilkins said, “Right now, this is a shooting, we got two victims. One’s been shot multiple times in the torso, probably in his late 20s. Another one has been shot in the extremities, in the lower extremities, and also all throughout his arms and everything, several times.”

Wilkins added, “He’s probably in his mid-20s. They’re both transported to local hospitals right now. They’re both in very critical conditions.”

A confrontation reportedly took place and lasted up to a minute, with men tussling in an attempt to steal jewellery. Following the incident, Ben10 broke his silence on the shooting with a message posted to his Instagram Stories.

“Getting shot !??! ok ian trippin,” he wrote at the time.. “We serve TWO different Gods must be [laughing emojis]… My FATHER TOLD ME MY TESTIMONY ALREADY [laughing emojis] LIFE SUPPORT HAS NEVER BEEN UP A OPTION!”

He continued, “I BEEN UP JUST ON GODS TIMING RN! #CRAZYMAN i thug every night just to go to CHURCH ON THA FRESH SUNDAY. to the YOUTH MAKE THIS GOOD FRIDAY COUNT!”
