British rap star sentenced after attacking gas station with flamethrower

Birmingham rapper Twista Cheese has been sentenced after attacking a gas station owner with a flamethrower.

The 32-year-old MC (real name Omar Abdirizak) reportedly argued with the employee over some cigarettes, prompting him to use flames against him.

According to Birmingham City Live, Cheese shouted, “I’m a terrorist, I will kill you,” before directing flames towards the shop worker. He also allegedly said, “I will burn this shop and you also.”

The incident took place at 8.20pm on January 12th at Holloway Head Service Station in Birmingham, with the rapper using an aerosol can and a lighter.

The disagreement allegedly came about after the shop worker told Cheese that he needed to pay for the cigarettes before receiving them. It’s reported he was mischarged for petrol after paying for an elderly man’s shopping.

Cheese also used flames against a Tango Ice Blast machine and around the petrol pumps, causing roughly £7,000 in damage. He later called the police, telling them he was Satan; upon his arrest, he said, “Allah told me to do that.”

On November 18th, the rapper was sentenced to six years and nine months at Birmingham Crown Court, admitting robbery and arson.

Taking to Instagram on November 19th, Cheese wrote, “Shop keeper try rob me I payed for old white guy in the queue in the shop he try over charged me said I put petrol in the car then he gave my money back.”

He continued, “I gave him the money back he didn’t try give my cigrates and I crashed out what I done was unacceptable but fuck it Allah is the greatest I’m going do my time. come out stronger and better.”

The court was told that Cheese suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and has an underlying schizophrenia diagnosis.
