Quavo and Offset pay tribute to TakeOff on anniversary of death

Quavo and Offset have offered their respect and reflections on their respective relationships with their former bandmate TakeOff, just one year after the rapper was tragically shot to death at the age of 28.

November 1st marks the one-year anniversary of the Atlanta artist’s fatal passing. He has since received widespread tribute from the hip-hop community, but most of all from his former Migos collaborators.

Quavo shared an image of his nephew on social media with the caption, “Can’t forget it won’t Forget It NEVER Forget it [rocket emoji, infinity emoji] I Remember!”

Offset then posted a video discussing his friend’s life and career. He said, “The times we spent is priceless what we built in this game they never wanted to give us our flowers we influenced the world…I Love you Take you still here with us I just know you are!!!! Migo 4Life!!!!!!”

The shooting that took TakeOff’s life was said to have taken place during a dice game outside a bowling alley in Houston, Texas. Patrick Xavier Clark was arrested in December 2022 for his murder.

However, Clark has maintained innocence with his lawyer stating, “We do believe that he has a valid self-defense claim. I don’t think they can say with any degree of certainty that it was Patrick who actually fired the shot.”
