Pusha T mocks Drake for taking legal action over Kendrick Lamar feud

Pusha T has weighed in on Drake taking the legal route over Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ diss track. The Virginia rapper has had his issues with Drizzy over the years, resulting in the infamous ‘The Story of Adidon’, which informed the world that the 6 God had a secret child.

During his appearance at Miami Art Week, Pusha spoke to Ari Melber about the whole Lamar and Drake feud, claiming that K.Dot “1000 per cent” won the battle.

“I think that Kendrick is a lyricist and a lyricist that talks to your soul,” he said. “Like, you can be clever, you can say cute things, you can do things in cadences, and so on and so forth, right? But the truth really hurts, and the truth, I mean, the truth like cuts deep.”

He added, “I think what Kendrick was doing was really talking to his soul. I believe that, and I believe that would cause you to tap out, that’ll cause you to sue, that’ll cause you to do a lot of things. It’s crazy.”

His comments refer to Drake filing a pre-action lawsuit against Spotify and his own label, Universal Music Group, accusing the two parties of illegally boosting streams for Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ diss track with claims that bots, undisclosed payments and biased recommendations were at play. This was the same song that Kendrick accused Drake of being a pedophile.

Pusha’s name was brought into their beef by Lamar on his ‘Euphoria’ diss track. On the song, he raps, “I don’t like you poppin’ shit at Pharrell, for him, I inherit the beef/ Yeah, fuck all that pushin’ P, let me see you push a T/ You better off spinnin’ again on him, you think about pushin’ me/ He’s Terrence Thornton, I’m Terence Crawford, yeah, I’m whoopin’ feet.”

During the same interview with Melber, Pusha reacted to the lyrics, reiterating Lamar’s comments about Drake needing to respond to him. “I guess he was just telling him, you know, he needed to address me before he comes back and try to go at him,” he said.

Pusha T previously addressed the lines during an interview with Vulture, saying, “Incredible. Incredible display,” he said. “Incredible display of battle raps. Listen man, Kendrick…” His brother Malice, who serves as the other half of Clipse, added, “It was a masterclass.”
