Pusha T disses Drake and Birdman on new song ‘Damage Control’

Pusha T has taken jabs at Drake and Birdman on a new song. The Virginia rapper teamed up with Wale on a track called ‘Damage Control’, which dropped on July 25th.

Produced by Don Cannon and Sean Momberger, who assisted Mustard and Sounwave with Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ diss track, the song finds Push firing shots towards the former Cash Money pair.

Pusha nods towards Drake’s legal action against Universal Music Group over Kendrick’s chart-topping record.

He raps, “All I hear is birds, that’s just words in the booth/ The realest Birdman, I just ‘Cock-a-doodle-doo’/ Doorstep, doorstep, I get it right through/ Money talk, money talk, the wrist is light blue/ Sugarhill sweets, shit is feelin’ type two/ Bruised egos, man, you n*ggas might sue/ New Jack Ninos’ tellin’ on the crew.”

During an interview in May, Push addressed Drizzy’s lawsuit and revealed that he no longer rates him as a musician.

“If [Drake’s] adamant to have a lawsuit, it’s only because he knows all the things that they did to suppress everything that was happening around ‘Adidon’ and the verses and the records and things that were happening back then,” he said.

“I don’t rate him no more. The suing thing is bigger than some rap shit. I just don’t rate you. Damn, it’s like it just kind of cheapens the art of it once we gotta have real questions about suing and litigation. Like, what? For this?”

‘Damage Control’ is the first taste of Culture Jam Presents: Legend in My Hood, a project curated by NBA star Anthony Edwards and his brother BDifferent.

It’s Pusha’s first verse since the release of Clipse’s comeback album, Let God Sort Em Out, which was released on July 11th.
