No Limit rapper Young Bleed hospitalised in critical condition
Young Bleed has been hospitalised in critical condition. The Baton Rouge rapper was taken to the ICU earlier this week.
The 47-year-old rapper (real name Glenn Clifton Jr) is fighting for his life shortly after performing at ComplexCon on October 25th.
TMZ reported the news on October 28th. Fake rumours circulated that the rapper had passed away, but his sister, Tedra, responded to the claims in a Facebook post.
“This will be my first and last post,” she said. “We are receiving a tremendous amount of calls about my big brother Glenn, Tank, Young Bleed. If you have not called his mother personally, please do not post about him.”
She added, “Our family ask that you respect our privacy and hold all calls and text at this time. He is still currently in ICU and his mother asked if you all would respect her wishes and not make any RIP post.”
Bleed released his debut album, My Balls and My Word, on No Limit Records and Priority Records in January 1998. It reached number 10 on the Billboard 200 chart.
His biggest song, ‘How Ya Do Dat’, has over 25 million streams on Spotify, with the music video also racking up 8.7 million YouTube views.
No Limit boss Master P also took to social media to give an update on his health condition, thanking fans for their well wishes.
“@snoopdogg and I was just talking about how we have to love eachother while we here!” he wrote. “We just turned up with our brother @therealyoungbleed @verzuztv.”
He continued, “Thanks for all y’all prayers and we need more prayers for him and his family as he fights in ICU #GodGotUs #NoLimitSoldier. Tell your people you love them every time they walk out the door.”
