NLE Choppa accused of starving one-year-old son amid custody battle

NLE Choppa is facing serious allegations from the mother of his child. After filing a petition for primary physical custody, the Memphis rapper has been accused of starving their son when he was one year old.

His ex-girlfriend, Marissa Da’Nae, is fighting back against his battle for custody by claiming he has “not been a consistent parent” and detailing his alleged abuse.

According to documents obtained by Complex, Da’Nae accused Choppa of “emotional and physical abuse throughout their relationship and specifically throughout her pregnancy.” She also claimed he “engaged in acts of neglect, causing the minor child to suffer medical complications and be admitted to the emergency room.”

Da’Nae is attempting to keep primary physical custody of ChoZen, with the next hearing scheduled for October 22nd.

Over the weekend, she took to X (formerly Twitter) to accuse Choppa of being an absent father. “I can’t believe this bitch is taking me to court about a child he doesn’t even call lmao,” she wrote. “I get so angry just thinking bout this shit.”

She added, “Bitch can’t even tell a mf when’s the last time Chozen been to the doctor or even been to a doctors appointment I tell you what. Chozen’s birthday was a month ago. This bitch has only called once.”

From there, she responded to a fan with claims that Choppa starved ChoZen. “Trying to take me to court for a child he barely see,” she said. “A child he had fasting at 1 year old. Saying a child didn’t need to eat 3 times a day. Kids come home starving.”

Choppa released his last album, Cottonwood 2, in 2023. It debuted at number 21 on the Billboard 200 with features from Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Polo G, Fivio Foreign, Kevin Gates, and others.
