Nicki Minaj has shared the new video for her track ‘We Go Up’.
On the track, Minaj teams up with Brooklyn’s Fivio Foreign on the new single, and the pair of New Yorkers pay tribute to their hometown on the celebratory ‘We Go Up’. They arrive on a private jet before driving around the city in Ferraris and Lamborghinis while rapping about their jet-set lifestyle.
She raps: “Uh, I know they teabaggin’, b****es is testy, Get you a vacuum, b****es is messy, Let’s see, after all of that surgery, you are still ugly, Now that is what gets me.”
However, Minaj has warned her fans since releasing the track and said she’ll delay the album unless they make the video for ‘We Go Up’ go viral.
Minaj said: “If y’all don’t do what needs to be done with the #WeGoUpVideo I will significantly and I DO mean significantly…delay the…the…the…oh what’s the word… oh! the album. That’s right. sighs the album devil wears Prada Meryl Streep voice. 🎀”
During an Instagram Live with Coi Leray, the rapper recently claimed that younger women in the industry “have never experienced hate the way I have experienced.”
She continued: “What y’all have experienced is nothing. Y’all have just experienced some of the growing pains of artistry, and of social media. Y’all be thinking y’all have experienced hate and trust me, you ain’t experienced it yet… people have been gentle.”
