Nick Cannon claims he attended a Diddy party at 16

As the story continues to unfold about the many of sexual assault accusations levelled against Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs, musician and TV personality Nick Cannon has also thrown his hat into the ring when discussing his time with the rap star.

The infamous parties, known as ‘freak-offs’, have been described as major events featuring multiple power players in the industry. During these celebrations, Diddy has been alleged to have committed various illegal acts, and many of the attendees have claimed to be underage when engaging in the alleged activities.

While Cannon had talked about his desire to be granted access to a Diddy party when he was young, he also claimed to be underage when first attending, saying, “I’ve even been there when I was a kid. Like, 16, 17. I live my truth. I remember standing outside, you know, trying to get into a Puff party out here in New York.”

Prior to his arrest, Cannon was known to have a positive relationship with Diddy, which led to him defending his actions when charges were first brought against him. However, he does not dispute that artist Cassie did not deserve the treatment that she got following the release of a video where Diddy beat her and dragged her through the hallway of a hotel.

Despite being present at many of Diddy’s parties, Cannon maintains that there was nothing criminal going on as far as he could see, saying, “I think it’s unfair that we are classifying a good party [as] a ‘freak-off.’ But see, that’s the thing. I don’t drink, I don’t do drugs, so I was like, I don’t know all of that. I’m in my life sober.”

However, Cannon is far from the only one who was underage when attending many of Diddy’s functions. Justin Bieber had been known to be near Diddy throughout his career as a teen heartthrob, and prior to becoming an R&B legend, Usher also mentioned being present at Diddy’s parties in the past but has refused to get into the details of the occasions.

While the many sexual abuse allegations levelled against Diddy have also made mention of various big-name celebrities that are possibly complicit in illegal activities, Cannon argues that he has no reason to be afraid of repercussions. In his own personal experience, he says he never committed anything illegal at the parties and, therefore, has a clear conscience and nothing to hide.
