New York’s Madison Square Garden reportedly considers Freddie Gibbs “high risk”

Freddie Gibbs is reportedly on a list of “high risk” artists put together by Madison Square Garden.

The iconic New York City venue, home to the New York Knicks and host of concerts, allegedly has a database that keeps track of artists.

According to a report by WIRED, the list of “high risk” artists includes Gibbs, DaBaby, Lil Jon, and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.

Gibbs took to X (formerly Twitter) to react to the article, writing, “D’Fuck I got to do with this?”

Jadakiss is reportedly considered “medium risk”, while Fat Joe is flagged because of his connection to The LOX rapper. Then, Ice Spice is allegedly “low risk,” and Lil Tjay is banned from the venue altogether.

Producer Pete Rock is said to be marked as “do not host.” In response, he said, “You can’t stop me from being a Knicks fan, but your controlling behaviour towards people is very unprofessional.”

A source stated that any sort of risk means “you’ve done something in the publicity world, the social media world, that has caught the attention of the wrong people. It doesn’t have to be that serious. You could just be critical of the team or the place itself.”

He continued, “You could post that you had a hard time getting in and you really didn’t like the way you were treated at one of the gates. Which is really nothing, right? It’s a really, really paranoid, terrible system.”

Jada has called out Madison Square Garden and New York Knicks owner James Dolan in the past. “It seems like he’s always happier when the team sucks,” he told Sports Illustrated.

He continued, “When we’re horrible, no chance of making the playoffs, no chance of being trendy, it seems like things go smooth. And then when they talk about rebuilding or bringing in some young guys or, you know, fixing the team up, it ticks him off, I think.”
