New Orleans jail escapee begs Lil Wayne, Meek Mill and NBA YoungBoy for help

Last month, ten men escaped from a jail in New Orleans, with two still on the loose. One of them, Antoine Massey, took to social media this week to share a video of himself pleading his case to the public. In the clip, he calls on Lil Wayne, Meek Mill, and NBA YoungBoy to help him.

The escape incident occurred at the Orleans Justice Center on May 16th after the men squeezed through a gap behind a toilet in the jail. One of the prisoners even left a message pointing at the hole, which read, “To Easy LoL.”

Massey claims he was wrongly accused and held papers towards the camera to prove his innocence. Officers have been searching New Orleans for two weeks, retrieving eight of the men who escaped. Aside from Massey, Derrick Groves is the other man who has not been found.

Massey wants an investigation into his case, asking President Donald Trump and some of the biggest rappers to assist him. “I’m asking for help from the world, from Meek Mill, Lil Wayne and YoungBoy, Donald Trump,” he said in his Instagram video. “I couldn’t even get a lawyer. I couldn’t even afford a lawyer to prove my innocence. I didn’t break out, I was let out.”

The 32-year-old was behind bars for the theft of a vehicle and a domestic abuse charge involving strangulation, and has a history of domestic violence charges and escaping from prison. Law enforcement recently increased the reward to $50,000 for information about each fugitive’s whereabouts.

The Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office said, “If the individual depicted in the video is indeed Antoine Massey, we strongly urge him to come forward and turn himself in to the proper authorities.”

They continued, “Cooperating with law enforcement is in his best interest and may help avoid additional charges. It is important that justice is served appropriately and that due process is followed.”
