Earlier this week, news emerged that Kanye West will have to fight a new lawsuit concerning his treatment of staff and students at his Donda Academy in California. The now-defunct establishment has been investigated several times. However, new allegations have emerged.
The plaintiff, Trevor Phillips, accused West of abusing and threatening members of staff, having scary “temper tantrums”, and alleged that West once said he would “cage” the students. Unfortunately, it has now been revealed that the emcee bullied black and Jewish employees.
Upon initially filing the lawsuits, media outlets reported that as well as bullying, the Chicago artist was insistent on telling faculty members about his porn addiction and admitted to “masturbating a lot”, making the work environment hostile and uncomfortable.
New details from the lawsuit claim that as well as racism and antisemitism, Kanye also went on various homophobic rants, telling staff, “Gay people are not true Christians. And gay people are controlled by Bill Gates so that they don’t have children for population control.”
The 42-page document also draws attention to West’s “spontaneous firings, a late-night summons to Nobu, watching The Batman on mute, and awkwardly navigating Ye pretending to masturbate.”
In a statement to People magazine, Phillips’ attorney wrote, “By filing this lawsuit, we hope our injured clients’ rights are vindicated, and that the famous artist Mr West understands that his messages — which we alleged preach discrimination, antisemitism and Hitler-love — have no place in the world.”
So far, no monetary figure has been attached to the lawsuit, and it is unclear whether the employees are seeking damages. So far, Wets hasn’t responded to the lawsuit and continues releasing music alongside Ty Dolla $ign.
