NBA YoungBoy strengthens support of President Donald Trump
NBA YoungBoy has continued his support of President Donald Trump while explaining the title of his 2025 album.
The Baton Rouge rapper only released his Slime Cry album last week, but during a recent interview, the attention turned towards MASA.
MASA is an acronym for Make America Slime Again, which is inspired by the Trump administration’s slogan, “Make America Great Again.”
When asked to go into detail about the album title, he said, “Follow whatever Trump applying … In every way … Enforce whatever Trump’s applying. That’s it.”
YoungBoy was pardoned by Trump in May 2025, absolving him of his crimes after pleading guilty to possessing weapons as a felon.
“I want to thank President Trump for granting me a pardon and giving me the opportunity to keep building – as a man, as a father, and as an artist,” YoungBoy said in a statement after the pardon. “This moment means a lot. It opens the door to a future I’ve worked hard for and I am fully prepared to step into this.”
His lawyer, Drew Findling, added, “I am thrilled for Kentrell that his legal journey has come to a conclusion. From Louisiana to Utah the battles have been endless, and now he can concentrate on first and foremost his family, and then, of course, his amazing career.”
MASA reached number six on the Billboard 200 chart with 49,000 units in its first week. The project included just two features, coming from Playboi Carti and Mellow Rackz.
On the song ‘XXX‘, he rapped, “Whatever Trump doin’, bitch, it’s good for the youngins.”
His latest album, Slime Cry, was released on January 16th, comprising 30 songs from the 26-year-old rapper.
