
NBA YoungBoy sparks concern with suicidal messages
Fans have raised concerns about NBA YoungBoy following a series of suicidal messages posted on social media.
The Baton Rouge rapper took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and Instagram on December 2nd to share some troubling words.
“I want drop the the album then die,” he wrote on X. “You’ll never find another. My life literally perfect, im just not happy. It’s me. I promise to show up for you though. You gone be happy.”
On his Instagram Stories, he also posted a photo of wrestler Chris Benoit, who committed suicide by hanging in 2007 after killing his wife and seven-year-old son.
Fans took to the comments to show their concern for YoungBoy. One person wrote, “There will always be another JUST not another you. You authentic and legendary. Seems like fame comes with a lot of pain lately.”
Someone else said, “Uhh Kentrell do you need to talk to someone? Genuinely this is concerning.”
Another fan said, “You gon live a long healthy, prosperous life. You gon watch your kids grow up to be healthy, smart adults, and show all the new kids how us OGs were getting down. Amen.”
YoungBoy was scheduled to release his new album, Slime Cry, on November 28th, but the date came and went.
After the album failed to drop, he told fans, “Oh you want my album I forgot, loading.” YoungBoy has already released multiple projects in 2025, including MASA and DeShawn. His compilation album, More Leaks, also arrived in March.
YoungBoy recently concluded his Make America Slime Again Tour across North America, which took place between September 1st and November 12th. It came after he was pardoned by President Donald Trump in May.
