NBA YoungBoy disses Gillie Da Kid over his dead son
NBA YoungBoy has taken shots at Gillie Da Kid by referencing his late son.
The Baton Rouge rapper has been dissing Future and Doe Boy over the past week, but turned his attention to the host of the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast.
YoungBoy took to social media to preview a new song, in which he raps, “I had thought about killin’ Gillie, but that bitch ain’t kill nothing about his son.”
Gillie came across the diss and went on Instagram Live, claiming his words about his son can’t hurt him.
“I don’t feel no type of way,” he said. “You can’t make me feel some type of way mentioning my son. I already come to grips with what happened, bro.”
Gillie’s son, Devin Spady, also known by his rap name, YNG Cheese, died in a triple shooting that took place in Philadelphia in 2023.
The 25-year-old was taken to the hospital by police officers, where he was pronounced dead. Two other men, aged 28 and 31, were also shot but placed in stable condition.
Just over a week after the shooting, Gillie took to Instagram to pay tribute to his son while revealing his heartbreak.
“I Miss u like $hit Dev,” he wrote. “My heart will forever have a Black hole in it but u know ur father gotta be strong to hold the family up. Thanks 4 all the support from family, friends, and all of my followers.
He continued, “Y’all really helping me get thru these ruff times. Me and my family appreciate and love y’all. Rest Well dev and watch over us u know I got chase. Love u Cheese.”
