Last week, New York’s finest, Nas, shared the joyous news that his new album, King’s Disease II, will be arriving on August 6th, and now the tracklist is with us.
The first instalment of the series arrived last summer to high critical acclaim and even went on to win Nas a Grammy for ‘Best Rap Album’ at the awards ceremony earlier this year.
The iconic rapper thankfully didn’t waste any time getting back into the studio, and after the year we’ve all had, another record from Nas is what we all need in our life.
He’s called in a few esteemed friends to appear on his forthcoming album, including a rare appearance from the enigmatic Ms Lauryn Hill. The album also lists an exciting feature from Eminem on the track ‘EPMD 2’.
Nas has seemingly chosen against releasing a single and will make his fans wait to listen to the album in chronological order, the way he intended when it’s released on Friday.
The New Yorker doesn’t need to create any hype for himself, just having the name Nas listed on the sleeve is enough to intrigue any hip hop enthusiast.
