Nas and Hit Boy share new project

Nas has teamed up with Hit Boy for the new project, Magic.

The producer has been at the helm for his previous two projects, King’s Disease and King’s Disease II. The two have built a prolific partnership over the last couple of years, and it’s even earned the duo a Grammy for ‘Best Rap Album’.

Now, they’ve dropped another surprise album which Nas only first hinted about yesterday. Posting on Instagram, he wrote, “MAGIC is in the air,” alongside an image of the artwork and back sleeve of the album. He added, “Midnight et brand new music to vibe to.”

Meanwhile, on his podcast, The Bridge: 50 Years Of Hip Hop, Nas finally revealed why his eighth album is called Hip Hop Is Dead. On the title track, he controversially rapped, “Everybody sound the same, commercialise the game, Reminiscing when it wasn’t all business,” and now he’s finally explained the motive behind it.

“I didn’t think that certain people would think I’m talking about them,” the rapper said. “I’m talking about mainly New York! I’m talking to everybody, but I didn’t explain it thorough enough.”
