Michigan rapper Allstar JR arrested over Houston shooting

Rapper Allstar JR has been arrested following a shooting at a restaurant in Houston.

The 36-year-old Michigan artist (real name Jeremy Ford) has been charged with unlawfully possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.

According to a press release from the US Attorney’s Office, Southern District of Texas, Allstar is accused of possessing a handgun in an incident that occurred on Kirby Drive on April 8th.

Police officers responded to reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they found two gunshot victims, with the court claiming a third person was also hit.

Allstar was allegedly involved in an argument that involved a handgun falling to the floor, before picking it up and firing as people fled the scene.

He’s accused of shooting as people ran to the elevator, before going back to a victim on the ground and firing more bullets at them. The handgun was later found at the scene.

The complaint also claims that Allstar posted videos on social media to taunt people and released a music video that references the shooting.

XXL reports that one of the victims was NBA Ben10, an affiliate of NBA YoungBoy. It was previously reported that a fight took place at the restaurant Confessions, leading to two people suffering serious injuries.

At the time, Lieutenant R Wilkins said, “Right now, this is a shooting, we got two victims. One’s been shot multiple times in the torso, probably in his late 20s. Another one has been shot in the extremities, in the lower extremities, and also all throughout his arms and everything, several times. He’s probably in his mid-20s.”

He added, “They’re both transported to local hospitals right now. They’re both in very critical conditions.”
