Megan Thee Stallion announces pioneering VR concert tour

Megan Thee Stallion has announced a first of its kind VR concert tour.

The ‘WAP’ singer is set to take the new tour on the road across the States and named the jaunt ‘Enter Thee Hottieverse’. It’s a show with a twist, and the VR concert will include a multi-song set that goes through a series of different environments and “hot customer” wardrobes.

Before Megan’s performance, fans are asked to head to a local cinema to put on the VR headsets, which she’s named ‘Hottie Mounted Displays’.

“Virtual reality has always been an interest of mine, and I’m glad that we’ll be able to make history with this experience,” the rapper said in a statement via Billboard.

She added: “My hotties will get to watch me perform in a completely different and unique way, and I appreciate the AmazeVR team for helping me to bring this VR vision to life. I can’t wait to see the Hotties show up to the tour.”

The tour will be running through 10 US cities, including stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Atlanta, Miami and Washington DC beginning on April 5th. It will then be resumed with four final performances in New York taking place from June 30th to July 3rd.

Meanwhile, Megan has also been confirmed in the lead role in the upcoming film, F*cking Identical Twins.

THR states the adaptation follows “two business adversaries who realise they’re identical twin brothers and decide to switch places in order to reunite their divorced parents and become a family again”.

Megan took to Instagram to share her joy about the role and told her followers: “HOTTIES THIS IS OUR FIRST MOVIEEEE/ MUSICAL! WITH SOME MOVIE LEGENDS. I’m so excited I feel so blessed I feel anxious lol I feel a bunch of shit I really have been quietly putting in this work and I just cant wait for the hotties to see everything.”
