Man allegedly connected with shooting at Lil Baby concert arrested

A man who is allegedly connected with a shooting that took place at a Lil Baby concert in September earlier this year, in which one person was wounded, has now been arrested by the Memphis Police Department.

The MPD released a statement on social media that said that officers had attended a report of a shooting at 191 Beale Street, the address of the FedEx Forum, where Lil Baby was playing on September 7th. The time of the incident was 10:23pm.

After the shooting took place, the concert was immediately cancelled and the venue was emptied. As soon as the shots were fired, Lil Baby was rushed off stage. One man was wounded and taken to hospital, but no other damage was reported.

On his Twitter account, Lil Baby said that those who attended the show would be refunded, writing, “Unfortunately I Couldn’t Perform Last Night In Memphis, Ima Make Sure Everybody Gets A Refund Tho.”

Kevin Young, 22, has now been arrested on reckless endangerment and unlawful possession of weapons and drugs at home charges in Memphis. At the home he was arrested, police officers found guns, ammo and drugs.

In a statement released on September 8th, the MPD wrote on Twitter, “The MPD is committed to serving and protecting the citizens of Memphis and visitors who come to our great city.”
