Madlib has revealed that he’s working on a new album featuring the late Mac Miller. Sharing the news during the latest episode of Sway in the Morning, the rapper and producer explained that he has the Miller estate’s blessing for the posthumous collaboration.
The forthcoming album was first mentioned following Miller’s death in 2018. During his rare broadcast interview with Sway, Madlib explained that he is now in the process of “finishing” the album. The Miller estate has offered no comment at the time of writing.
Madlib also told Sway that he’s working on a new album for Erykah Badu. Back in 2021, the producer shared Sound Ancestors, his collaborative album with Four Tet. More recently, he’s worked with the likes of Maxo, Fly Anakin, Mike Eagle, Black Star and Logic.
