When Mac Miller labelled Donald Trump a “racist fuck-wad”

Donald Trump is the president-elect of the United States once again following the results of the election this month. While many have issues with Trump for his political views, prior to his first term in office in 2017, Mac Miller had problems for another reason.

Miller released a song called ‘Donald Trump’ in 2011 that appeared on his Best Day Ever mixtape. The money-chasing track references Trump’s successful career as a businessman, with aspirations of being just as wealthy as him. He raps on the song, “Take over the world when I’m on my Donald Trump shit / Look at all this money, ain’t that some shit.” Mac later stated he was “just somebody who symbolised financial success to everybody at that time.”

Trump initially praised Mac Miller after the music video hit 20 million views on YouTube, going as far as calling him “the new Eminem.” However, things took a turn for the worse when Trump decided to demand royalties for using his name, prompting a feud between them that included various back-and-forths on Twitter (now known as X).

As a result of their beef, Miller unsurprisingly didn’t hold back on Donald Trump when he was campaigning to be president in 2016. The Pittsburgh rapper appeared on Comedy Central’s The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, denouncing Trump and everything he stood for.

“I only have one thing to say: I fucking hate you Donald Trump,” he said. “So you wanted to sue me, but then you realised you can’t sue somebody for being super talented and incredibly good-looking. You say you want to make America great again, but we all know what that means: ‘Ban muslims, Mexicans are rapists, black lives don’t matter.’ Make America great again? I think you wanna make America white again.”

Mac Miller didn’t stop there. He went on to call Trump a “racist son of a bitch” over his apparent views on minorities. “You see, you’re lowering the bar for our nation’s intelligence,” he said. “Your only goal is to stay in the spotlight no matter how much it fuels the fire of hate groups that you apparently know nothing about like the KKK and Neo-Nazis. You have people at your rallies who openly assault black teenage girls because, ‘Hey, that’s America.’

“The messed up thing is, I dont even know if you’re evil. I think you’re just such an egomaniacal, attention-thirsty, psychopathic, power hungry, delusional waste of skin and bones that you’ll do, say or allow anything if it means just one more minute in the limelight.”

Mac Miller closed his monologue by describing Donald Trump as a “racist fuck-wad” and made clear that he wouldn’t leave the country if he became president.

“I’m staying right the fuck here. That’s right, I’m not going anywhere,” he said. “I’ma be here every day telling the world how much I hate you, how much of a clown you are, and how we as a nation are better than you will be as a racist fuck-wad of a human, because I love America and I’m never giving it up to a troll like you, you bitch!”
