Ludacris tried to beat Snoop Dogg in weed smoking contest

Word Of Mouf creator Ludacris is an Atlanta hero. However, he is not known as an avid weed smoker. That said, the rapper has recently admitted that he once entered into a smoking contest with Snoop Dogg and labelled the event as “a hero moment.”

Taking to social media, the lyricist reflected on the competition as he celebrated the 21st anniversary of his iconic 2003 album Chicken-N-Beer. The musician began by telling his followers, “Man, happy anniversary, first and foremost, to the Chicken-N-Beer album.”

He continued, “I just wanna say thank you to all the fans for reminding me today. One of my favourite songs on that album has gotta be ‘Hoes in My Room.’ Now listen, this is my first time working with Snoop Dogg, always wanted to work with him. One of my heroes.”

Ludacris then went on to recall a time he hung out with Snoop on the West Coast and highlighted that Poon Daddy, one of his close friends from Atlanta, was also there. Telling the story, Luda started, “I remember being out in LA, and he told me to come by the studio, and I had Poon Daddy with me. This the guy that I was on the radio with. Still friends to this day. Anybody that knows Poon knows he can out-smoke anybody.”

He humorously remembered how it turned into a regional weed-smoking contest between the South and California, continuing, “So now we going to Snoop’s studio, right. This is damn near the south versus the west. I’m not backing down. I know Poon’s not backing down. We get there, they start lighting up blunts. I’m talking like six, seven blunts in rotation all at one time. My man, Bishop Don Magic Juan, was there.”

The ‘Stand Up’ rhymer detailed how one of the pimp’s more odd smoking practices, unveiling, “Anyone knows Don Juan knows that he puts the blunt up to his nose and inhales and then tries to pass it to somebody else. I wasn’t hitting the booger blunt. I let it skip me, but I was hitting every other blunt that came around. So was Poon. Of course, Snoop was as he’s writing his verse.”

Luda concluded, “I say an hour went past, everybody still smoking. Two hours go past. He’s almost done. For the first time in my life, I look at Poon, and I see him get passed a blunt, and he goes, ‘Poon tapped out.’

It was the first time he had ever seen his close friend turn down weed. It ended up becoming a heated contest between Ludacris and Snoop Dogg. Still, the Atlanta native accepted that he couldn’t out-smoke Tha Doggfather, finishing, “I thought I’d never see it in my entire life. So now it’s just me and Snoop. I out-smoked Poon Daddy for the first time. I will not say I out-smoked Snoop, but it was one of the hero moments with me to be in the studio with Snoop Dogg. I love you with all my heart.”
