Logic claims his new film has made $1 million from pre-sales

Logic is set to release his first film titled Paradise Records. Leading up to its release, the Maryland rapper has claimed he’s already made $1 million from the movie.

He may be best known for his rap music, but Logic has made the jump into the world of movies and is allegedly already making big money.

The plot for Paradise Records follows “a record store owner and his eccentric staff fighting to save their beloved shop from closing down.”

Taking to Instagram, Logic revealed his current profits while questioning why the media isn’t talking about his success.

“The people have purchased over $1 million in Blu-ray pre-sales for my debut movie and not a single major outlet is shedding light on it,” he wrote. “The film industry/system is broken, and the cure, which was obvious to me, lies in direct-to-consumer, creator-to-fan connection. We are taking over. We will tell our stories. And the people clearly want to hear them.”

Written and directed by Logic, Paradise Records stars the rapper as the lead alongside Tramayne Hudson, Mary Kelly, and Reed Northrup.

Logic opened up about spending his own money and revealed he’s aiming for the $10 million mark when all is said and done.

“After spending millions of my own dollars and betting everything I had just to tell the story Hollywood wouldn’t let me, I did it,” he said. “And thank God, it’s working. We’re projected to hit $10 million minimum, which will not go into our pockets but continue to fund independent filmmakers. Long live independent cinema.”

Logic released his last album, Ultra 85, in August 2024. It was his second independent album since leaving Def Jam.
