LL Cool J hands Rock Hall his Audi 5000 from 'Bad' cover

Following his induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, LL Cool J has donated the Audi 5000 from his iconic Bad cover to their museum.

2021 proved to be the year that LL Cool J was finally accepted into the prestigious club after being previously nominated on multiple occasions. Dr Dre, a Hall of Famer himself with N.W.A., had the honour of admitting him into the Hall of Fame, and during the event, he performed with Jennifer Lopez and Eminem.

Now, TMZ reports that he has gifted the 1986 Audi 5000 from the cover of 1987’s Bad after restoring it to perfect condition thanks to the help of Unique Rides in New York.

The product is of immense significance to LL as it was the first major purchase he made after coming into money following signing his record contract with Def Jam.

Reportedly, LL injected $35,000 into fixing the vehicle on new bodywork, a fresh paint job, the installation of a custom two-tone black leather interior with red piping, a full stereo system with Blaupunkt cassette deck, amps, subs, red lighting, complete engine rebuild and new OG BBS wheels.

“For more pics from starting in Jamaica Queens to Now at the @rockhall,” Will Castro from Unique Rides wrote in an Instagram post. “Still can’t believe that a kid from Lower East Side NY has a car built in the @rockhall museum for the #goat @llcoolj . Thank you again L for letting our #TeamUnique re- build your original 1st car from 1986.

“Also I can’t take all the credit cause without my Team this would not be possible. So again too many to name on my Team but you all know who you are. Love my Team. Fellas we made it to Hall of Fame.”
