Lil Wayne ends show halfway through set due to unworthy crowd

Lil Wayne ended the final show of his Welcome To Tha Carter tour halfway through the set. The rapper seemed to suggest that the crowd were unworthy of his efforts, so he cut the show short.

Midway through his planned set at the Wiltern in Los Angeles, Lil Wayne halted proceedings and announced: “We appreciate it, but we ain’t about to be bending over backwards for these folks. We work too hard for this shit. We work way too hard.”

However, angry fans quickly suggested that his own lacklustre and unprofessional performance was the problem, pointing out that the star took to the stage more than half an hour later than the scheduled start time.

After half an hour, Lil Wayne then left the stage and the show continued with his Young Money label mates Lil Twist, Yaj Kader, and Allan Cubas performing as an ensemble.

Further into the set, Lil Wayne re-emerged and called an end to the show. He told the bewildered crowd: “We work too hard for this shit, we work way too hard. This my motherf***in’ artist Allan, that was Twist, that was Yaj; we are Young Money. We appreciate y’all time.”

As of yet, Lil Wayne has not commented further on the matter.
